A Jewish wedding blessing
We are honoured to be holding our wedding at South London Liberal Synagogue.
As the name suggests, our synagogue is part of Liberal Judaism, which means even though James isn't Jewish we can hold our wedding blessing there. It's a warm, friendly place, with a lovely Rabbi who has made us feel very welcome since joining in 2018.
It also happens to be where Hannah had her baby-blessing when she was a few months old, and where we held Reuben's blessing last September.
The only 'rules' are that men wear a Kippah, which will be provided (although women are welcome to as well if they wish), and that we do not mix meat and diary in the kitchen (so we will be going full pescatarian).
...and of course that you have to dance the hora and the hava nagila.
